Graduating this faculty and attending the one-year medical probation (which in Romania is compulsory) gives students the status of dental practitioner and the right to practice dental medicine.

The faculty commits itself to delivering a high standard, reliable training using the most up-to-date technology. The Faculty of Dental Medicine has modern endowment, ranging from large lecture halls and seminar rooms to dental technique laboratories and complex apparatus. Practical activity on patients begins in the third year of academic study.

The academic curriculum is permanently correlated with that of other dental medicine faculties in Romania and abroad, as well as with the EU standards. In order to have the graduation diploma recognised within the EU countries, the Faculty of Dental Medicine has introduced certain new courses, such as behavioural studies, methods in scientific research etc. Research develops within the Centre of Interdisciplinary Research in Dental Medicine.
