Introduction

Founded in 1990, Titu Maiorescu University is among the first private higher education institutions in Romania. UTM is an educational community where both teaching staff (approximately 650 academic trainers) and students (about 15000) try to develop knowledge in accordance with present changes and diversification of the academic mission. Teaching and research are equally recognised as main activities.

Titu Maiorescu University is committed to developing international relations with universities from all over the world. Student and faculty exchanges involve a growing number of foreign universities, especially through active participation in the LLP/Erasmus exchange programme and through bilateral university agreements. The number of international independent students who choose to study at Titu Maiorescu University is also growing fast.
