Titu Maiorescu University is organizing, in collaboration with the “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș” National Institute of Infectious Diseases and Bucharest Public Health Department, the Anti-Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign titled “Vaccination Marathon – Together for Life”. The campaign, carried out with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, is addressed to University employees (teachers, teaching-auxiliary and non-teaching staff), students, master degree students, doctoral students and residents who want to be vaccinated. The first sitting of this Campaign took place on Friday, 28.05.2021, at University headquarters, in a specifically assigned space (Building M, ground floor, 189 Calea Văcărești, District 4, Bucharest).
Based on its institutional mission, Titu Maiorescu University states that its fundamental objective is to put itself at the service of our society and of the academic community through all its educational, scientific and research resources, at its full potential and with all its available logistics. In a situation like the one we are going through, generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the University understands to be directly involved in combating the pandemic crisis by actively participating, as an organizer, in the vaccination process. In addition to the moral, social and human argument, Titu Maiorescu University’s course of action is supported by a solid institutional argument. Along with other faculties and specializations, three faculties in the field of medical sciences are part of the University’s structure: the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dental medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy and five specialized study programs: general medicine, dentistry, general medical care ( Bucharest, Târgu-Jiu) and pharmacy. Moreover, within the structure of the University, there are three doctoral schools: Medicine, Dental Medicine and Law. Starting with the 2020-2021 academic year, Titu Maiorescu University is a residency organizing institution.
