THE DEAN’S SPEECH
Romanian education has been in a continuous process of change since 1990, which has generated a number of positive effects on the educational level as well as on research. As a result, universities have had to adapt to these changes, on the one hand to comply with legal regulations, but also to successfully meet new labor market requirements.
In this context, Titu Maiorescu University imposed itself, at the level of the Romanian academic space, as a serious higher education institution, anchored in the university tradition, but at the same time with an openness to modernity, to the new and the European evolutions, a preoccupied institution to cultivate quality in the act of education and research, to offer graduates higher qualifications and real skills for the development of successful careers. As an integral part of the Romanian education system, Titu Maiorescu University is fully committed to the reform process, in line with the objectives of the Bologna Declaration, to further assert itself and develop as a European Higher Education Institution governed by Fundamental principles such as: promoting creativity and quality in education, excellence in research, academic competitiveness at national and international level.
The fundamental objective of the Titu Maiorescu University’s strategic program is the development of Titu Maiorescu University by creating a quality culture in line with European standards in the field by increasing performance in education and research by stimulating creativity and innovation in these two areas by improving programs Bachelor, master and doctoral studies, through the quality of human resources, by strengthening the material base, by promoting a new, European image of the institution.
The Faculty of Finance, Banking, Accounting and Business Administration of Titu Maiorescu University, throughout this period, sought to assert itself in the Romanian academic environment through the quality of the study programs, the content of the disciplines and of the teaching staff.

The Faculty of Economic Sciences aims at:
- To provide students and master students with quality educational services in the economic field so as to enable them to accumulate the skills needed for a rapid integration into the labor market;
- To contribute to the development of Romanian research by initiating and carrying out research projects, by elaborating and publishing specialized articles and books.
In order to accomplish this mission, we propose a strategic program focusing on the following strategic options:
- Improving the management system at the faculty level in order to increase its efficiency, effectiveness and competitiveness;
- Permanent adaptation of the educational process to market requirements;
- Developing research activity;
- Developing international relations;
- Promoting the faculty.
