QUALITY ASSURANCE POLICY WITHIN THE DOCTORAL SCHOOL OF LAW

Quality assurance represents a fundamental component of the academic and research activities carried out within the Doctoral School of Law. The quality policy aims to develop an institutional framework that guarantees excellence in scientific research, doctoral training, and compliance with national and international academic standards.

Through the implementation of a coherent quality management system, the Doctoral School of Law seeks to continuously improve doctoral research activities, develop the advanced competencies of doctoral students, and increase the visibility of scientific results.

Quality Assurance Objectives

The main objectives of the quality assurance policy are:

  • developing a doctoral program centered on the doctoral student and on the development of advanced research competencies;
  • promoting academic excellence and integrity in scientific research;
  • increasing the quality and relevance of legal research outcomes;
  • developing national and international academic cooperation;
  • correlating doctoral research topics with developments in legislation, legal doctrine, and case law;
  • complying with the standards and performance indicators established by the legislation in force and by quality assurance agencies.

Monitoring of the Doctoral Program

The doctoral university study program in the field of Law is continuously monitored in order to ensure the quality of academic and research activities.

The monitoring of the doctoral program focuses on:

  • the continuous updating of doctoral research topics;
  • the periodic evaluation of doctoral students’ activity;
  • the analysis of the scientific performance of doctoral supervisors;
  • the analysis of research results achieved within the doctoral school;
  • aligning the doctoral program with developments in the academic and professional environment.

The periodic evaluation of the doctoral program contributes to the continuous improvement of the doctoral training process and to maintaining high academic standards.

Evaluation of Doctoral Students’ Activity

The activity of doctoral students is periodically evaluated throughout the doctoral program, in accordance with the regulations governing the organization and conduct of doctoral university studies.

The evaluation includes:

  • the analysis of annual progress reports;
  • the assessment of doctoral students’ research activities;
  • participation in scientific events and publication of research results;
  • the public presentation of the research stages established within the doctoral program.

The completion of doctoral studies is achieved through the public defense of the doctoral thesis, in accordance with national legislation and institutional regulations.

Evaluation of Doctoral Supervisors

The quality of doctoral supervision activities is periodically monitored and evaluated within the institutional quality assurance system.

The evaluation of doctoral supervisors considers:

  • scientific performance and research activity;
  • involvement in coordinating doctoral students’ activities;
  • research outcomes achieved within the doctoral program;
  • compliance with academic standards and the principles of ethics and academic integrity.

The evaluation results contribute to the improvement of academic activities and to the development of the doctoral program.

Access to Research Resources

Doctoral students benefit from access to the academic and research resources necessary for carrying out scientific activities, including:

  • the university library and collections of specialized legal publications;
  • scientific and legal databases;
  • IT infrastructure and internet access;
  • electronic platforms for academic and research activities.

Quality Management System

Quality assurance within the Doctoral School of Law is coordinated by the institutional structures responsible for quality evaluation and assurance, established in accordance with the legislation in force.

These structures monitor the implementation of quality procedures, analyze the results of academic and research activities, and formulate recommendations for the continuous improvement of the doctoral program.

Internal quality evaluation reports are prepared periodically and are made available to the academic community and the interested public.

The Doctoral School of Law ensures the transparency of public-interest information regarding:
