On June 1, 2026, a meeting took place at the Consulate General of Romania in Miami (https://miami.mae.ro/) between Mrs Elena Gabriela Eremia, Consul General, and the TMU delegation, composed of Prof. Daniel Cochior, PhD, Rector of Titu Maiorescu University; Assoc. Prof. Eng. Iustin Priescu, PhD, President of the TMU Senate; Assoc. Prof. Geanina Banu, PhD, Vice-Rector for International Relations; Assoc. Prof. Cosmin Moldovan, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Assoc. Prof. Violeta Hancu, PhD, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine.
The TMU delegation highlighted the importance of internationalization as a strategic direction for institutional development, with a focus on academic mobility, research, innovation, the exchange of good practices and increasing TMU’s visibility at international level. The discussions also emphasized the importance of international university cooperation in training highly qualified specialists, promoting academic quality and strengthening relations between Romania and the United States of America.
The meeting underlined the importance of cooperation aimed at developing partnerships between TMU and higher education institutions, encouraging exchanges of experience among academic staff and students, and developing joint projects in the fields of medicine, dental medicine, computer science — including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity — as well as in other relevant areas, with institutions from the states within the consular jurisdiction and with representatives of the Romanian community.
