Titu Maiorescu University’s participation in the NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo, held in Orlando, Florida, USA, from May 26 to 29, represented an important opportunity to promote the university’s academic offer and to develop new directions and partnerships for international cooperation.

The Titu Maiorescu University delegation, composed of Prof. Daniel Cochior, PhD, Rector; Assoc. Prof. Eng. Iustin Priescu, PhD, President of the Senate; Assoc. Prof. Geanina Banu, PhD, Vice-Rector for International Relations; Assoc. Prof. Cosmin Moldovan, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Assoc. Prof. Violeta Hancu, PhD, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, held meetings and discussions with representatives of academic institutions, organisations and international partners interested in developing cooperation in the fields of education and research.

TMU’s presence within the “Study in Romania” pavilion, organised by the National Council of Rectors, gave the university the opportunity to present its study programmes, particularly those taught in English, its institutional development directions, mobility opportunities for academic staff and students, as well as other academic opportunities available to international students.

Following the discussions held at the TMU stand and with other exhibitors, concrete cooperation actions were outlined, aimed at increasing Titu Maiorescu University’s visibility in the international academic environment, developing new institutional partnerships and projects, and expanding cooperation in strategic fields such as medicine, dental medicine, artificial intelligence, psychology, pharmacy, law, business and international relations, as well as other areas relevant to research, innovation, academic mobility and the internationalisation of study programmes.

Participation in NAFSA 2026 confirms Titu Maiorescu University’s commitment to consolidating and enhancing its international profile, as well as to actively contributing to the promotion of Romanian higher education within the global academic community.
