REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Step 1. – Registration   
  1. ONLINE REGISTRATION

The candidates can start registering online at the following link:

!Make sure you have available all the documents requested before starting the online registration!

The electronic documents must comply with the following indications: 

  • one file for each document; documents consisting of several pages must be scanned in one single PDF file 
  • translated documents must include all the pages and be in the same order as in the original document received from the translator (translated pages + copy of the original translated document)
  • each file must be named after the type of the document (passport, birth certificate, high school diploma, etc.)

The files submitted online are subject to verification by the Department of International Relations. If the file is complete you will receive an electronic message that your file has been prevalidated. 

If the file is incomplete, you will be notified for correction/completion of the file, following which you will add the missing documents online.

Once the file has been prevalidated, the candidates must pay the admission fees (see below) in order to be registered for the admission exam.

2. REGISTRATION AT THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

The department’s working hours with the public are as follows:

Monday to Friday – 9:00 – 13:00

During this time, priority will be given to candidates who come to the office to submit the files with the registration documents. 

Any kind of requests regarding information about the registration and admission can be addressed online to the email address international@univ.utm.ro

!Make sure you have available all the documents requested before coming for registration! The documents presented in copy must be accompanied by the original document for certification. 

!We recommend creating an account on the online admission portal even if you do not apply online! Through the portal the candidates will receive email notifications with further information about the validation of the file. 

If the file is incomplete, you will be informed for correction/completion, following which you will add the missing documents to the file. We request 1 physical file containing all the original documents requested in legalized translations, apostille /authenticated and 1 electronic file with all the documents in pdf format. 

The physical file must have written on the cover the following information:

  • Full name of the candidate (as appearing in the birth certificate),
  • Current last name/surname (after marriage, adoption, change on request, if applicable),
  • Study programme for which you apply
  • E-mail address of the candidate
  • Mobile phone number of the candidate

The electronic file must comply with the following indications:

Step 2. – Payment of the admission fees
The fees can be paid in RON at the Cash Desk (Dambovnicului 22, District 4, Bucharest, next to the Department of International Relations) or in the university’s bank account for RON:

Step 3. – Confirmation of registration 
After the admission fee is paid, the file will be validated for admission. The validated candidates will receive by mail this information.  
Step 4. – Admission selection  
The list with admitted candidates will be displayed on TMU website. The admitted candidates will receive by mail an invitation letter for studies.

The admission is made in descending order of the general average of the Baccalaureate, converted in Romanian grading system, from the highest to the lowest.

Step 5. – Submitting the original documents
The admitted candidates must submit the original documents at the Department of International Relations by 29 SEPTEMBER 2023 (29.09.2023)

!!Attention!! 

The documents presented in copy must be accompanied by the original document to be certified for conformity with the original by the International Relations Officer. 

The high school diploma (or its equivalent) or the graduation certificate must be submitted in original or as a certified copy, regardless of the language in which it was issued. The high school diploma in original or its original certified copy is kept in the student’s file for the entire duration of the studies. 

Step 6. – Applying for the document for recognition of international studies at the Ministry of Education in Romania
The admitted candidates must have their studies recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Education:

  • for EU citizens, the Ministry issues a certificate of recognition of studies 
  • for Non-EU citizens, the Ministry issues a letter of acceptance to studies

For the admitted candidates, the Department of International Relations will apply for recognition of studies at the Ministry of Education in Romania, based on the documents provided by the candidates in the registration process step 1.

Within 3 days after receiving the admission results, the candidates must pay the fee for preparing and submitting the file to the Ministry.

One copy of the payment proof is added to the file at the Department of International Relations.

Step 7. – Paying the tuition fee for the first year of studies 
  1. EU CANDIDATES  

The candidates that are citizens of EU States, EEA and Swiss Confederation, as well as Romanian citizens with studies abroad or in other educational systems operating on the territory of Romania who have been admitted in the July session are required to pay at least the first installment of the tuition fee until 30 AUGUST 2023 (30.08.2023). Otherwise, the candidate will not be matriculated for the Preparatory Year. 

The candidates admitted in the September session are required to pay at least the first installment of the tuition fee until 3 OCTOBER 2023 (03.10.2023). The payment of the tuition fee can be made in full at the due date of the first installment.

Other information 

  • The matriculation of the candidate is final only after receiving the document for recognition of studies from the Romanian Ministry of Education and presenting a passport with a valid visa for studies (for non-EU candidates). In case the candidate is not accepted for studies by the Romanian Ministry of Education, he/she cannot continue the studies and the paid tuition fee is reimbursed in full.
  • The application file is returned, upon written request, to the rejected candidate. 
  • The application file is returned, upon request, to the admitted candidate who renounces the place obtained by admission until 1 October 2023 (01.10.2023), without the payment of the fee. If, until this date, the admitted candidate pays the full tuition fee, it is refunded to the candidate.
  • The enrolment fee and the fee for the processing and transmission of the file to the Romanian Ministry of Education are not refundable in any case.
  • In case of withdrawal from studies after 1 October 2023 (01.10.2023) or expulsion from the University, the student pays a withdrawal fee of 200 RON. The student must pay the installments of the tuition fee, including the related penalties, until the date of withdrawal/ expulsion. In case of the installments paid in advance (an installment whose due date is after the date of withdrawal/ expulsion), they will be refunded to the student.
EU CANDIDATES

REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS  

Candidates should have the study diplomas recognized by the Romanian National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) within the Ministry of Education in Romania. For the candidates who don’t have the certificate from CNRED, Titu Maiorescu University will submit the file to CNRED for obtaining the recognition of studies.

Failure to obtain the recognition of studies from CNRED is a legal reason for the University not to do the matriculation of the candidate!

Attention!

  1. CNRED is free to ask for any further evidence concerning one’s studies.
  2. No application is examined if any of the required documents is missing, or if sections  in the Application Form were left blank.
  3. The evaluation of the recognition file takes 45 working days since the file is registered at CNRED. The processing time could be extended in case additional documents are required.
NON-EU CANDIDATES

REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS

ROMÂNI DE PRETUTINDENI

DOCUMENTE NECESARE  

Studiile preuniversitare sau universitare obținute în străinătate de către cetățenii străini care doresc să se înscrie ca români de pretutindeni trebuie să fie recunoscute de către Direcția Generală Relații Internaționale și Afaceri Europene – Români de Pretutindeni (DGRIAE-RP)  din cadrul Ministerului Educației. Universitatea Titu Maiorescu va depune dosarul la DGRIAE-RP pentru obținerea Aprobării de Școlarizare.

Respingerea cererii de recunoaștere de către DGRIAE-RP (candidatul nu primește aprobare de școlarizare de la DGRIAE-RP) este motiv legal pentru ca Universitatea să nu înmatriculeze studentul respectiv.  

 

!!ATENȚIE!! Pentru înscrierea online  

  • documentele cu mai multe pagini trebuie sa fie scanate într-un singur fișier PDF

Atenție! 

  1. DGRIAE-RP poate solicita documente suplimentare legate de studiile candidaților. 
  2. În situația în care dosarul este incomplet sau există spații necompletate în cererea de înscriere, candidatura nu va putea fi procesată.
  3. Evaluarea dosarelor de recunoaștere a studiilor durează 30 de zile lucrătoare de la înregistrarea la DGRIAE-RP. Această perioadă ar putea fi prelungită dacă sunt solicitate documente suplimentare. 

How to connect to the portal?

The connection is made by filling in the fields in the registration page: email address, password. After creating the account, you will receive a confirmation email. Without this confirmation, you will not be able to connect to the admission portal.

After connecting, you can enroll in the study programs you are interested in, by selecting the faculty, the level of studies (Bachelor/ Master) and the study program. Please follow the steps in the portal, being constantly informed by email about the status of your application.

 

What is the structure of the portal?

The admission portal is divided into 2 sections: Profile and Enrollment.

The Profile section is divided into 3 subsections:

  1. Personal data, where you will fill in the general data, the place of birth, the permanent residence, the details of your identity document(s), the citizenship(s).
  2. High school education, where you will fill in the information about the high school that issued your diploma.
  3. Higher education, if applicable, where you will fill in the information about current or graduated higher education studies.

The Enrollment section will contain all the enrollments you made, which is further divided into the following subsections:

  1. Enrollment details: here you will be able to see the citizenship declared for studies and other options specific to the study program.
  2. International Relations: this section is dedicated to the candidates who will submit their application to the International Relations Department, being requested specific information.
  3. Documents: here you will be able to upload the documents from the automatically generated list. The documents automatically generated by the portal, based on your previously entered data, can be digitally signed directly in the portal (by drawing the signature in the related section)
  4. Fees: after the Secretariat of the Faculty will validate your application, you will be able to make the online payment of the admission fee. If you are declared admitted, also in this section you will be able to make the online payment of the tuition fee.
  5. Correspondence: in this section you will be able to keep in touch with the Secretariat of the Faculty. You will receive an email notification whenever you receive a new message in this section.
  6. Admission information: in this section you will be able to see the admission calendar for enrollment in the selected study program, details about the status of your application, the score obtained in each subject of the admission exam, including your final results.
